The Bight Hon. J. G. Coates, Leader of the Opposition, will arrive in Auckland from Dargaville'to-mor-row morning. He will leave for Wellington on Thursday or Friday.
Mr S. Vickers was re-elected chairman of the Taranaki Hospital Board today.
Mr G. A. Whitehouse, manager of the Bank of New South Wales 'at Timaru, and formerly of Auckland, has been appointed to the staff of the chief inspector at the head office of the bank in Sydney.
Tho following nominations have been received by tho returning- officer for the vacancy on the New Zealand University Senate, caused by the election of Professor Macmillan Brown as chancellor: Mr. W. D. Campbell (Timaru), Mr. F. A. Dc La Mare (Hamilton), Air. W. J. Hunter (Christchurch), Mr. A. K. Turner (Auckland).
