GRAF ZEPPELIN.

ECKENER’S PLANS.

DISAPPOINTMENT IN RIO.

CROWDS MISS SEEING AIRSHIP,

United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright,

NEW YORK, May 25

The Graf Zeppelin is expected to arrive at Pernambuco early on Monday morning after leaving Ro die Janeiro at 6.52 a.m. (New York standard time) since when it has been reported regularly along the northward course.

Considerable criticism is heard at Rio de Janiero concerning Dr. von Eckcner’s apparent change of plans, causing thousands of anxious watchers to miss seeing the dirigible which arrived over the city’s outskirts in the early morning, but instead of landing proceeded southwards to Santos. The crowds left, their points of vantage and returned home disappointed, whereupon the Graf Zeppelin returned and landed at Compo Alfonso’s airdrome at 5.5 a.m. for a brief stop. She landed without trouble, despite the unfamiliarity of the ground crew with so large an airship.
