Church of England Meeting. A meeting of parishioners of the Church of England was held in the church. There was a very small attendance. The finances of the parish were discussed and found to be very much behind. It was resolved to have a house-to-house canvass in the near future and make every effort to wipe off the deficit. The matter of having an assistant vicar or curate was discussed and voted out,- no funds for the necessary stipend bieng in sight. Personal. Mr P. M. Gray has bought Messrs W. and -D. Young’s farm on the Gordonton Road. Mr T. Hutchinson and family will occupy Mr Charles’ farm.
