VALEDICTORY.

POPULAR RESIDENTS FAREWELLED Pioneer settlers of the Pirongia Road, in the persons of Mr and Mrs George Richmond, were farewelled by some 50 settlers of their district and Gtorohanga friends, to mark the qccasion of their retirement from dairyfarm activities, after a residence of seme 16 years on the property. Mr Walter Bowyer, on behalf of the gathering, presented Mr, Mrs and Miss Richmond with suitable gifts for the occasion. Mr Richmond has handed over the conduct of the property to his two sens, and proposes to retire. Miss Richmond was also accorded a speieal farewell function from the members of the Presbyterian Tennis Club.
