IMPORTANT CONFERENCE.
NATIONAL DAIRY ASSOCIATION. GATHERING IN HAMILTON. The 1930 National Dairy Association Conference will be held in Hamilton on June 24, 25 and 26, when it is anticipated that 400 delegates and their wives, representing the dairy industry of New Zealand, will be here. The conference, which is the most important of its kind to be held in the Dominion, will entail considerable organising ability and the whole-hearted co-operation of local bodies and sports bodies will be essential in making the occasion a success. When'the conference was held in Whangarei last year everything was done to make the stay of the delegates as enjoyable as possible. Among the bodies to co-operate in an extensive programme for the entertainment of the visitors were the Whangarei Borough Council, the Dargaville Borough Council, the Whangarei Harbour Board, Chamber of Commerce, Hospital Board, Whangarei County Council, and the Dairy Companies of the district. The local golf club, picture theatres and traders’ association also assisted in making the visit of the delegates a memorable one. The ladies of the party were fully catered for and throughout the whole period there was something of more than usual interest to occupy the attention of the entire party. The centre of the richest dairying centre of New Zealand, Hamilton, should set a new standard of entertainment for such a unique occasion, and with Mr W. H. Paul as secretary in charge of the arrangements there can be little doubt that an ambitious programme will he prepared, _ __
