FARMERS’ UNION.
PUTARURU WOMEN’S DIVISION. The usual monthly meeting of the above branch was held In the >Town Hall on May 9th., the following being present. Mesdames Campbell (president), H. Baldwin, D. Baldwin, Robinson, Voyce, Addenbrooke, Churches, Walsh, Ward, Lopdell, Bathe, Scott, Dodd, Hollingshead, Morrison, Allwood, Lloyd, Karl, Brown, Pearson, Leslie. The treasurer announced that after the expenses in connection with the old-time dance were paid the rest room fund would benefit by £l2. An effort to further augment the ■ same fund will be made early next month, when it is proposed to hold a Paddy’s market. After the usual business had been dealt with an interesting competition was participated in, Mrs. Karl being the winner. Afternoon tea, which was much appreciated, was dispensed by Mrs. Robinson and (Mrs.. Karl at the conclusion of the meeting.
