LEVEL CROSSING COLLISION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HAWERA, Monday. A grocer’s delivery van was badly smashed at the High Street level crossing on Saturday evening in collision with an incoming slow train from the south. The driver escaped injury. A second accident, arising out of the first, occurred on the same spot shortly afterwards, when a car coming out of a side street collided with a stationary car which was parked close to the scene of the first accident. The moving, car was overturned, but the three occupants escaped injury.
