MR JAMES FOX. 4 .X—■ The death has occurred of Mr James Fox at the age of 89 years. Mr Fox was born in India, and came to New r Zealand 83 years ago. He seLtled in Ilowick, and after his marriage to Miss Ellen Murphy, of Ilowick, he came to the Waikato, settling at Ilairini, which was then called Rangiawhia. lie served in Maori wars as -a despatch rider. Of his family of nine, three boys and six girls, three are now living— Mrs A. Karl (Ohaupo), Mrs F. Karl (Putaruru), and Mrs H. T. Armstrong (Christchurchi.
