That accused had a streak of vanity in his nature, a vanity which to some etxent explained his appearance in the dock, was the remark of Mr Justice Kennedy in the Supreme Court to-day, in sentencing John Albert Simes, aged 19, to three years’ detention in the Borstal Institute for the theft, as a bank clerk at Alexandra, of -over £6OO-
