Rice, of Tirau, which backed into a culvert opposite the hotel at Tirau about 1.30 this insThe party was returning from the dance held by the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union. The force of the impact-caused those sitting in the front seat to crash through the windscreen. Mr. Bice was rendered unconscious and had to have several stitches inserted in wounds to his face. _ Mrs Rice was badly bruised and cut about, and Miss Hamlin, another passenger, 1 received bruises and cuts. All suffered from shock. Their condiiion *not serious.
