ATTEMPTED SUICIDE

DOMESTIC WORRIES. SALOON-KEEPER’S ACT. A billiard saloon-keeper of Tirau, named Alfred Lowndes, aged 37, pleaded guilty before Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M., at the .Hamilton Court to-day, to attempting to take his life. In a signed statement defendant said he had been considerably worried over domestic and business affairs, and had suffered from insomnia and depression in consequence. He was convicted and' discharged, and ordered to pay the costs, £1 Bs.
