ACTION OF ALLIANCE. CRITICISED BY ENGINEERS’ UNION CONCERNED ONLY FOR SELF. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. ■Strong exception to the action of the Alliance of Labour in declaring “black” the committee investigating the operations of the Workers’ Compensation Act lias been taken by the Petonc branch of the Amalgamated Engineers and Allied Trades’ Union of Workers. In a statement the union declares that while the Alliance professes concern for the labour movement as a whole, il is in reality concerned only with its own organisation.
