Tiie second and concluding day of the Wanganui Trotting Club's autumn meeting was held to-day in fine weather before a large attendance. The track was in good order. Following are the rcsulls : Liverpool handicap. Won by a length and a half, six lengths between second and third. Time, 4.38. STEWARDS’ HANDICAP. Won by three-quarters of a length, same distance between second and third. The Totalisator. The sum of £71)12 was invested on the totalisator, compared with £11,107 for the second clay last year, making a total for the meeting of £14,375, a decrease of £5370 compared with the £19,745 handled last year. Owner Fined. A protest against Baron Dcnby in the Suburban Handicap was disallowed. W. J. Woodfleld, the owner, was fined £5 for altering the length of the hopples without notifying the stewards. Owner-Driver Injured. During the running of the Stewards’ Handicap at the Wanganui Trotting Club's meeting Pumaliaka and Musical felt and Mr W. G. Aitken, the owner-driver of Pukahalca, was taken lo tire hospital with internal injuries, it is understood he received a fractured pelvis. Explanation Accepted. An inquiry into the alleged inconsistent running of Ockley Wood, winner of the Ballance Handicap, resulted in the explanation being considered satisfactory.
