JUDGE NOT IMPRESSED. “If you came up 'here and heard women crying as often as I do, their tears would not affect you so much,” Judge Curlewis, at Sydney Sessions, told a bondsman whose bail bond of £BO had been estreated. The bondsman said that ’he had no suspicions of the prisoner’s real reputation. The prisoner’s wife had come to his place in tears, beseeching him to go bail. His Honour allowed the bondsman the return of his money, with the exception of £lO.
