GROWING INSTITUTION.

WAIKATO HOSPITAL FIGURES. INCREASE IN PATIENTS. An increase of 691 patients treated at the Waikato Hospital during the past year, as against the previous 12 months w 7 as showm by figures quoted by the secretary, Mr E. G. Johnson, at a meeting of the board to-day. The figures showed that a total of 437 patients were treated at the>main hospital, as against 3746 the previous year; at Kaw’hia the numbers were 93 against 44, Te Kuiti 408 against 329, Matamata 230 against 178, Huntly 196 against 161. The total increase over the whole of the institutions under the board’s control was 806, the daily average having increased at the main hospital by 34, and over the whole by 40.
