REAR-ADMIRAL BYRD
ARRANGEMENTS FOR DEPARTURE. (Bv Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, .Monday. Rear-Admiral Byrd announced today that the Eleanor Bolling would sail from Dunedin for New York at four o'clock to-morrow afternoon, and that lie himself would leave Dunedin on Monday for Wellington to catch the Corinthic, leaving on April 9. With his staff, he will travel on that vessel to Panama. Admiral Byrd will arrive In Christchurch on Monday afternoon, and after being accorded a civic reception, will leave the same evening by ferry steamer for Wellington. On Tuesday morning lie will he tendered a civic reception in Wellington, and later in the day he will call on the GovernorGeneral. lie sails the following day.
