OBITUARY,

IViRS H. A. BASTABLE. The death occurred at Hamilton on Sunday ol' .Mrs Helen Ann Bastable, wife of .Mr E. G. Bastable, of Galloway Street, aged 63. Born at Gabriel’s Gully. Otago, the late Mrs Bastabh was the daughter of the late Mr John Trerise, an early pioneer. In 1907 she was married to Mr Bastable at St. Matthew’s Church, Auckland. With her husband she spent about 16 years on the goldfields at Karangahake, and was 26 years in the Waikato. There were no children of the marriage. Mrs Bastable is survived by her husband, who was born in Hamilton over 60 years ago, and was the son of one of the first wnue settlers here. For many years he carried on the business of a carrier in the town.
