FAREWELL EVENING

LYCEUM CLUB COMMITTEE. The committee of the Lyceum Club gave a farewell bridge evening on Saturday in honour of Mrs J. B. Page, who leaves shortly for Christchurch. The card room was charmingly decorated with bowls of green hydrangeas and scarlet berries, the supper tables being arranged with belladonna lilies and pink sweet peas. The hostess (Mrs W. H. Hume) was wearing a frock of black georgette embroidered in gold, the guest of honour wearing black lace. Prizes were won by Mrs Hume and Mrs J. E. Page. During supper a. presentation was made to Mrs Page, on behalf of the committee, by Mrs H. J. Greenslade. Those present were: Mr and Mrs J. E. Page, Mr and Mrs J. D. Smith, Mr and Mrs H.. J. Ferguson, Mr and Mrs Bullock, Mr and Mrs F. Vickery, Mrs H. Douglas, Mrs W. H. Hume, Mrs R. B. Cranwell, Mrs Gordon Smith, Mrs E. Walders, Mrs H. J. Greenslade, Miss G. Wyatt, Miss Eggleston and Miss M. Stevens.
