An amendment io a motion lo go into supply calling for Die abrogation of the Australian trade treaty was defeated in the Dominion House of Commons this evening by 140 votes to 16. A sub-amendment urging the Government to revise Die terms of the treaty was also defeated by 110 votes lo 51. The debate was marked by assertions from the Progressive and Agricultural members that there wi>s a definite trend among farmers for protection.
