BOWLING
SINGLES COMPETITION. FOR JACOB HENRY WRIGHT CUP. Play in the Jacob Wright,Cup competition (singles), for which players belonging to any of the bawling clubs located iu Hamilton are eligible, began this afternoon, and was continued to the semi-final stage. The semi-finalists will meet next Saturday at the Whitiora green, and the final will also be played there on that date. All play is on the one-life system. The earlier rounds decided to-day were- staged at the Hamilton East and Frankton greens, 16 of the 32 players engaged being accommodated at each. With three rounds played the number still in at each green will he reduced to two, who will thus become the semi-flnalists for next Saturday. Results up to the Lime of going to press were: —
