WEDDINGS.

WRIGHT—HARVEY. The marriage was solemnised at the Manawaru Gospel Hall on Wednesday between Barbara, only daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Harvey, of Waltoa, and John, second son of Mr and Mrs W. A. Wright, Manawaru v The ceremony was performed by Mr 11. Isaac, evangelist, of Wanganui, and Mrs Mudford, of Walton, presided at the organ. . The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of pale pink georgette over ivory silk and carried a. bouquet of pink and white flowers. The veil of white tulle was embroidered with silver, and held in place with a coronet .of orange blossom. Miss Gladys .Bowling, cousin of the bride, acted as bridesmaid. She wore a mauve crepe de chine frock, with at to tone, and carried a bouquet of pink flowers. Mr Don Wright, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Mrs W. A. Wright wore a frock of light navy crepe mimosa and hat to tone, the bouquet featuring autumn tints. The bridegroom's mother wore black aelanese trimmed with grey. The guests adjourned to the Manawaru Hall, where they were received by Mr and Mrs Harvey. After the wedding breakfast the happy couple left by motor on the honeymoon tour. HALDAWAY —MARTIN. A wedding was celebrated at the Presbyterian Sunday-school Hall, Hamilton, on March 19, Mr E. Knight of Wellington performing the ceremony, between Noeline Bernice, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Allan Martin, of Waring’s Road, Taupiri, -and George Charles, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. D. Haldaway, of Rototuna. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a simple frock of white crepe de chine with veil of embroidered silk net. which fell from a coronet of orange blossom to the ground. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Lillian Martin, of Auckland (cousin -of the bride), who wore apricot georgette with hat and bouquet to tone, and Miss Joyce Haldanvay (sister of the bridegroom), in ■old rose georgette with bat and 'bouquet to tone. They both wore dainty gold brooches set with pearls, the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr Reg. Haldaway, of Palmerston North, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man, and Mr Clyntore Martin as groomsman. About 60 guests were afterwards entertained at the Masonic Hall, which was tastefully decorated. Mrs Martin, mother of the bride, received her guests in a frock of deep saxe blue crepe de chine with molecoloured hat. Mrs Haldaway, mother of the bridegroom, wore bois de rose crepe de chine frock with hat to tone. They both carried bouquets. The (bride’s travelling suit was of winecoloured rep with ’hat to tone. She wore a silver fox fur, the gift of Ihe bridegroom. Mr and Mrs Haldaway left amidst showers of confetti for a motor tour of the North Island. They will make their home in Rototuna.
