MIRACULOUS ESCAPE
EXPLOSION AT DUNEDIN. CHILDREN SLIGHTLY INJURED. (By Teiegrapn— Press Associanon.) DUNEDIN, Monday. Two children, aged five and six*, years, had a miraculous escape yesterday. They were playing about a right-of-way 'leading to the premises of Kempthorne, Prosser, Lid. One is believed to have lit a match near the bung-hole of a drum, which was afterwards found to contain methylated spirits. An explosion followed, the lid being blown off with such violence as to make a foot-deep hole in the ground. The children suffered only minor injury.
