A SURPRISE VISIT. Alembers of the Alorrinsville Lodge, M.U.0., paid a surprise visit to the residence of 'Air and Mrs 0. W. Mulcahy, to wish them happiness in their married life and to make a presenta(ion of a set of carvers. Mr and Airs Mulcahy are officers of the lodge, both being Past-Grands. j Sister Mulcahy was presented with j a letter conferring life membership j without contributions, which is the I highest honour a lodge can confer. GOLFERS LEAVING. At the annual meeting of the ATorrinsville Golf Club members expressed regret at losing Mr and Mrs C. 11. McKay, and wished them many years of go'll' in their new home. The annual report stated: “The club is very unfortunate in losing Air and Airs McKay, who have been very energetic and enthusiastic members for many years." PERSONAL, Rev. and Airs Starnes have left for Dunedin, where they will attend the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand. Mrs ,T 3. AVhvte, of Hamilton, has been staying with her parents, Mr and Airs 11. Clifford. Aliss Noon is spending a holiday at Cambridge and Auckland. Miss Noble, of Tauhei, is on a visit to Thames. Airs Seales motored to Auckland for the week-end. Airs 11. Turner and children have returned to their home from a three months' visit to St. Heller’s Bay, Auckland. Mr and Airs Sutherland motored from Auckland and spent the weekend with Mrs N. Barker. Aliss Dorothy Parker, who has been relieving at the Alorrinsville District High School, has left for Auckland. Miss Veda Moore has returned from a holiday at the Mount, Tauranga, Aliss W. Cooper, who has been visiting friends in Alorrinsville, has returned to. Devonport. Airs E. C. Bright has left oh a visit io Hastings. Mr and Mrs Ilyaencyth and party molored from Auckland to attend Ihe To Arohu races, and are staying with friends in Alorrinsville.
