LAND DEVELOPMENT.

ACTIVE INSPECTION WORK. WELLINGTON, Friday. The Minister of Lands, lion. G. W. Forbes, stated to-day that the personal of the Lands Development Board established under the provisions of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1929, had been completed by the appointment of Mr. J. R. Franklin, of St. Johns Hill, Wanganui. The minister intimated that the three advisory committees which had been appointed, in the North Auckland and Auckland' districts were commencing active inspection work, and that the Lands Development Board would shortly bold regular meetings in furtherance of the policy of settling the undeveloped Crown lands of the Dominion.
