FOURTH ANNUAL CONFERENCE. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NAPIER, Tuesday. • The fourth annual conference' of the New Zealand Park Superintendents’ Association opened this morning. Delegates were present from Napier, Hastings, Pelone, Wellington, Timaru, Oarnaru, Dunedin, Invercargill,'Auckland arid Wanganui. The Mayor, Mr J. Vigor Brown, extended an official welcome. The election of officers resulted: — President, Mr R. w. Goadger (Napier) ; vice-president, Mr J. G. Mackenzie (Wellington) ; secretary, Mr D. Mannock ("Dunedin). <tl was decided to hold the next conference at Wellington. Mr D. Tanneck, of Dunedin, read a paper on municipal forestry, saying that provided prices continue to ' increase and home supplies became scarcer the future of commercial treegrowing by municipalities and local bodies can be looked to with confidence. The conference is expected to last two days.
