ELSIE WALKER OASE.
(To the Editor.) gi ri —it would appear that the agination to secure the reopening of the Elsie Walker case has dwindled an intensity and there is a decided danger that the whole sorry business will be relegated to the limbo of forgotten things. This must not be permitted. Justice demands that the matter be kept right in the forefront until some move ds made. It is all very well to argue that should not be badgered—that they know more about the circumstances than the outsider, and they should be treated to our trust. That reasoning is fallacious- It must not be forgotten that when the nature of the new evidence available was disclosed the coroner at| the original Inquiry immediately suggested that, the proceedings should be reopened. Is there not something in that to suggest that had the evidence now available been adduced at the inquest the finding would probably have been different?—'l am, eto., MORE LIGHT.
