KAWHIA CARNIVAL.

GIRL SWIMS HARBOUR. The annual regatta in connection with the Kawhia Carnival Club took place under ideal conditions. The club had arranged for an exhibition swim by Miss Lily Copplestone, and she successfully swam the harbour from Te Maika. The regatta consisted mainly of whaleboat events, in which crews representing Kawhia, Kenolaku and Taharoa competed- The principal contest, for the challenge shield, was Won by the Ivenotaku crew.
