WAIHOU STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report:— At our Waihou sale a heavy yarding of fat and store cattle came forward. Store cattle sold readily at late rates, and the* ruling rates for beef and mutton were maintained. There was a medium yarding of fat pigs and a good yarding of store pigs. Baconers were easier, while store pigs sold nt late rates. Quotations; —Fat wethers, shorn to 27s 6d; fat ewes, shorn to 20s 6d; fat hoggets, shorn to 23s sd; Fat cows, heavy, £8 7s 6d to £9 10s; Fat cows, heavy, £ 8 7s 6d to £9 10s; fat cows, medium, £7 10s to £8 2s; light, £6 7s 6d to £7 ss; fresh store cows, £5 2s 6d to £6; cows and calves, £7 6s to £10; 3J to 4-year steers, £lO to £lO 10s; 3-yr steers, £8 14s to £9 10s; 15-months steers, £5 to £6 10s; 15-months Hereford heifers to £5 10s; 15-months Jersey cross heifers, £5 11s to £6 16s; others £2 19s to £5; potting bulls, £7 10s to £l2. Pigs: Heavy baconers, £3 8s to £3 12s; medium baconers, £3 to £3 ss; heavy porkers, £2 10s to £2 18s; light, £2 4s to £2 8s; slips, 28s to 365; weaners, 18s to 255; best Jersey and Jersey cross cows, £l2 to £l4 10s; others £8 15s to £lO 10s; Jersey heifers, £lO to £l2 ss; backward sorts, £6 to £9.
