BRITAIN’S BIG AIRSHIP.
FLIGHT ABANDONED. LEGISLATORS DISAPPOINTED. United Press Assn.-Elec. Tel. —Copyrlgrlii LONDON, Nov. 24. The members of Parliament were again deprived of their trip in the airship RlOl. Heavy rain and a gale deterred many from going to Gardington, while others look the chance. The first hitch occurred when a weight connected with the lift became delached, and the lift was put out of action. The last 25 guests climbed 314 steps in order to board the airship, where everybody had luncheon. It was then announced that the trip would be abandoned, first, because the rain had so weighted the envelope that with such a large party the ship might be overburdened. Secondly, if the gale persisted it might be difficult to moor her again. The final decision was left with Lord Thompson, Secretary of State for Air, who wired his apologies, but said that in the circumstances the flight must be postponed.
