FATAL STORMS.
TWO BOYS DROWNED. SYDNEY STREETS FLOODED. United Pross Assn.— -Elec. Tel. — Copyright 1 SYDNEY, Nov. 14. A violent thunderstorm in Sydney to-day was responsible for the loss of two lives and great damage to buildings and gardens. Three schoolboys were sheltering in a stormwater canal at Lelchardt, when suddenly they were overwhelmed by a wall of water. They were carried half a mile. Two of the boys, aged ten and eight respectively, were drowned. The third lad was rescued in an unconscious condition.
A horse was killed by lightning. Poultry and birds were killed by liafl, which also smashed windows and motor-car wind-screens by the score. The city was deluged and the lower portions of Hunter and George Streets became like swirling torrents of water Inches deep.

It has been revealed that another boy was drowned during yesterday’s storm, being swept down a stormwater channel at Alexandria. A ball of Are ran up the facade of the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows’ Building in the cityAt Grafton the public hall was shifted bodily and wrecked.
