Won by two lengths. Time 4.18 4-5. N-Z> Cup Described. In the New Zealand Cup, Kingcraft, the first favourite, broke badly at the start. Imprint was the early leader, but Peter Bingen took the lead in the straight, and heading Logan Park halfway to the judge’s box, won comfortably. The time, 4-18 4-5, was a Dominion record.
