Forcing their way into a locked bedroom in a hotel in Pera, the police found the dead bodies of a German lawyer, Seigfried Aron, and his wife. Death was due to veronal poisoning. It is alleged that the pair were wanted in Berlin for frauds amounting to £200,000.
