The famous windjammer Garthpoql Is ashore at Boavista i Cape Verde Islands. It is stated there Is no hope oX salvage. All the crew were saved. Cape Verde Islands are a Portuguese possession located in the Atlantio 350 miles west of Gape Verde, the most western point In Afrioa. The group comprises 14 Islands and islets the total being 1480 square miles. Th® population is given as 149,700.
