THREE AWARDS ANNOUNCED. United Press Assn. —Klee. Tel.—Copyright STOCKHOLM, Nov. 12. The following Nobel Prize awards are announced:— The prize for literature has been awarded to Herr Thomas Mann, the well-known German novelist. The prize for physics for 1928 is awarded to Professor Owen Richardson, of King's College, London, for •his discovery of the fundamental physical law known as “Richardson’s Law," which governs the motion of electrons emanating from hot bodies. The formula discovered by Professor Richardson constitutes the basis of the action of the wireless valve, on which wireless telephony and broadcasting depend. The physics prize for 1929 is awarded to the Due de Broglie, of Paris, for his discovery of the undulating nature of electrons.
