SILVER WEDDING
ENJOYABLE GATHERING. Mr and Mrs D- C- McLeod, of Morrinsville, celebrated their silver wedding by giving a most enjoyable evening at their residence on SaturdayTen of their first wedding party attended, including the bridesmaid, Mrs Fred Stephens (nee Miss Gerty Saunders of Otahuhu), who came from Christchurch. Others present were: Mr 'C- McLeod, Mr and Mrs J- Ewan (Auckland), Mrs F. Stephens (Christchurch), Mrs C. Ewan (Otahuhu), Mrs Ness (Auckland), Mr and Mrs E. Caddigan (Orini), Rev. and Mrs Starnes, Mr and Mrs Barford, Mr and Mrs N. Morrice, Mr D. R,. F. Campbell, Mr and Mrs W. Butler, Mrs J- Hewitt, Mrs F. Hewitt, Mr and Mrs T. Donovan.
The rooms and tables were beautifully decorated with bowls of roses, and after tea the usual toasts were honoured. The evening was spent in music, many of the old songs of 25 years ago being sungMrs McLeod received her guests in a navy marocain frock relieved with Oriental silk-
