Senior Cadets. . For the past week the Ngaruawahia Cadets have been busy putting in a series of daylight parades. Rifle practice has been carried out at the foothills to the west of the township. * Crossing Signs. In accordance with regulations the compulsory crossing signs have been erected at distances of 300 feet from all level crossings within the borough. It has been a costly job for the council, and it remains to be seen whether such expenditure is warranted. Accidents have occurred within the borough, but in all cases the drivers have been well aware of the crossings. Alternating signals of some kind would undoubtedly serve their purpose. Flower Society. Many people Interested in the above have been making inquiries regarding the schedules for the proposed shows to be held throughout the coming . season. It is tho intention of the ‘com.piittee to meet at an early date for
the purpose of discussing such matters. The warm rain that fell earlier in the week is already showing its effect on pastures and gardens in general, where a vigorous spring growth has begun.
