CHANGE IN MARRIAGE SERVICE. PROMISE TO OBEY DROPPED. (By Telegraph.—rres; Assn. —Coryngnt i (Australian Press Association.) (Received Oct. 11, 9.20 a.m.) NEW YORK, Oct. 10. The new Prayer Book of the Protestant Episcopal Church, revised for the first lime since 1892, is announced for publication. Changes in the marriage service, which have been discussed for a long time, include the omission of the woman's promise to obey her husband, and the man, in giving the ring, no longer says, "With all my worldly goods 1 thee endow." There are many changes in the services for the visitation of (he sick. The phrases linking the patient's illness with God's wrath are absent."
