The Government lias given Professor Obcrth permission to use a lonely spot on the east coast from which to (Ire an experimental rocket thirty miles heavenwards. The rocket is fitted with astronomical instruments, and will come down bv means of a parachute when the propelling charges have been exhausted. Professor Obcrth is confident that he will get Important data from his long-distance rocket.
