JUNIOR FOOTBALL.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —In to-night’s issue of the Waikato Times I notice that the Hamilton junior reps, have- to travel to Te Awamutu on Saturday next to play Waipa for the Clarke Cup. I understand that this is a competition controlled by the Waikato Rugby Union, they having the arranging of matches, dates, and where same are to be played. It was advertised that Waipa meet Hamilton junior reps, at Hamilton in last week’s report of the Waikato RugbyUnion’s meeting. By whose authority was this altered? Was it by the Hamilton Senior Management Committee? If so, what right have they to Interfere when there is a Junior Advisory Board to control junior football in existence? By the way matters have been administered lately it seems to me the junior board are nonentities, and are treated with contempt. I would like to ask when the last Waipa juniors played in Hamilton? They have not to my knowledge visited Hamilton since the war. The Junior Board have over 30 teams to control, whilst the Senior Board control six seniors, and it appears that the more important body are side-stepped.—l am, etc., NOAH’S WIFE.
