The Department of Agriculture estimated the winter wiieat production for 1929 to be 568,233,000 bushels, compared with 578,000,000 last year. The average yield of winter wheat per acre is placed at 14.2 bushels, and the quality of 1 tie crops at 86.7 G per cent. The condition of the autumn wheat in four Slates was 57.7 per cent, of normal, indicating a production this year of 49,263,000 bushels, compared with 93,000,000 in 1928. The indicated production of all wheat is estimated at, 773,885,000 bushe.s in 1929, compared with 902,000,000 in 1928.
