FAREWELL FUNCTION.

AFTERNOON AT RUKUHIA. On Saturday afternoon Mrs M. H. Hepburn gave a pleasant afternoon at her home, “Taumata,” Rukuhia, in honour of Mrs Cross, who is leaving the district. Mrs Cross was the recipient of a beautiful jardiniere, for which she thanked her hostess and friends. A delicious afternoon tea was then served, and an enjoyable afternoon was brought to a close with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” Among those present were Mesdames Jones, Garvie, McAuiiffe, Douglas, Keane, Grocott, Parry, Carryer, Roebuck, Langdon, Cresswell, Downes, Flyger, Baine; Misses Brownlee, McAuiiffe (3), Bcaney, Graham, Parry, Derrycourt, Douglas, Jones. Hepburn (2).
