GIRL GUIDE ASSOCIATION
MEETING OF GUIDERS AND COMMITTEE. The District Guiders and Committeof the Girl Guide Association met oi Monday evening in Miss Scherer’s. Studio, Ward Street, to welcome Dr. Buckley Turkington, w r ho is visiting Hamilton in the interests of the Girl Guide movement, but who unfortunately was unable to be present owing to sudden illness. Mrs Toombs Divisional Commissioner presided. During the evening the following ladies were enrolled. Mrs G. A. Elmsly (divisional secretary), Mesdames H. H. Clark, Kent-Johnston and Shaw (Executive). Mrs R. Clark congratulated Mrs Toombs on her appointment as Divisional Commissioner.
Miss McCormac, District Commissioner, Ngaruaw r ahia, submitted a company programme, which was of much interest to the visiting committees.
Among those present were Mrs Toombs, District Commissioner, Miss McCormac, District Commissioner; Mesdames Elmsly, Furguson, Gane, Richards (Cambridge), Joy, Patterson, Adams and Sanson (Ngaruawahia), R. Clark, H. H. Clark, KentJohnston, Shaw, McNicol, Jackson, Rogers, Morrow, ‘ Palmer, Nealie, Tait, and Morrison and Misses Yalder, Scherer and Moore. Also the following Guiders; Richards, Hammond, Pattison, Davison, Murray, Anderson, Levesque, Clark, Champion, Howlett and Whilner.
