No 1 grass track and sand were available, the bulk of the gallops being done on the former. "Owing to No. i grass track being heavilv top-dressed recently, and the heavv" rain last night, the going was greasv and several horses did not appear to handle it to advantage. No. 1 Grass. yVar Officer and Kawainga were the first to work. They went away from the six furlong post to a straggling start and, covered the last half mile in 55secs Gold Money was timed to run home from the five furlong post in 1-8 1-5 comfortably. The Thorn had a lot of pace on when he left the five furlong peg and ran home in 1.8 3-5. , , The Lover, Mon Star and Hyde Park was the order at the end of a circuit covered in 1.5 <, the last seven fuilongs taking 1.35 3-5. The Lover was in front throughout, while Mon Star finished a shade in front of Hyde Park, who was unable to handle the greasj Te" Money, Myola, and Sleepy Sol finished in that order at the end of seven furlongs in 1.35 1-5, the llnal six being traversed in 1.21 3-5. Sleepy Sol could not act in the going. Corinax was always going better than Odin over a round in 2.1 3-5. Gay Cockade ran the last four furlongs of work in 52 2-5. There was little between Roman Pearl and Lincroo in a half-mile task, which took 53secs.

Bulolo dashed home from the halfmile post in 51 secs; this was the best gallop of 1 lie morning over the distance.

Lady’s Boy accounted for Bennie over six furlongs in 1.22. The former, who was out wide, did the work nicely. Praetor and Gemlight sprinted home from the three furlong post in 40secs. Good Boy was given strong work, sprinting home over the last couple of furlongs. This gelding is looking in excellent condition. On The Sand. Eager Rose was not extended to run six furlongs in 1.25 1-5. Sir Archie and Fernden completed their five furlong task in 1.7 3-5. There was little between them at the finish. Both went well. Harbour View, looking in first class condition, was timed to run seven furlongs in 1.30 1-5. Leave For West Coast. T. R.
