The Sunday Express is informed by the highest authority that the story from New York to the effect that there was a British Cabinet split over Mr. Winston Churchill, Chancellor of the Exchequer, demanding the abandonment of two out, of the three new cruisers and Right Hon. W. C. Bridgeman, First Lord of the ’ Admiralty, threatening to resign, is utterly ridiculous. A member of flic House of Commons, Lieutenant-Commander Hon. ,T. M. Konworthy, in Reynolds’ Newspaper, narrates the story circumstantially, and says: “ The Treasury will win, and Mr. Bridgeman will be conoslcd with a peerage.”
