GREATER ENGINE CAPACITY. STRUCTURAL CHANGES. ——— ■ INCREASED DIMENSIONS. /By Telegraph—Pres? Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian Press Assn. —United Service.) (Received Jan. 18, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 17. The Berlin correspondent of the Times states in anticipation of a greater new Zeppelin, the dismantling has begun of the sheds at Frcdrichshafen, which are too small. The new Zeppelin, which is to be called LZI2B will be about the same length as the Graf Zeppelin, but the maximum diameter has been increased by one-eighth, giving a cubic capacity of 150,000 cubic metres, compared with the Graf Zeppelin’s 105,000, thus approaching the size of British airships. The chief alteration relates to the engines, which in accordance with Dr. von Eckner's dictum will be of greater power. The control and navigation cabins will be moved farther astern, and also on a lower level, giving a full view of the stern, as the officers found the Graf Zeppelin deficient in this respect. The covering will be of linen instead of cotton.
