Nicholson, of New Zealand, gained two seconds and a third in the best of three heats of the five-miles motor-paced match at the Velodrome last night. J. Nagel won the match with seven points in the first-class professional five miles scratch race. W. Leatham, of New Zealand, finished fourth.
