AUCKLAND REPRESENTATIVE. AUCKLAND, Friday. The third and final race to decide the Auckland representative in the annual contest for the Sanders Memorial Cup was sailed last evening, when Avalon defeated Rona by 3 minutes 26 seconds. WELLINGTON’S CANDIDATE. THE CLYDE SELECTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. After the race a meeting of the Wellington Provincial Yacht and Motorboat Association was held at which Mr W. Duncan, the sole selector, announced that lie hiid chosen the Clyde as the Sanders Cup representative for Wellington. She is to be sailed by her owner, Mr N. Rowntrec.
