Maxton, Labour M.P. for Bridgeton, (Glasgow; Mr S. Saklatvala, Communist M.P. for Battersea North; and Mr Bridgeman, secretary of the League Against Imperialism, was due to the belief .that they were on the way to attend a meeting of the AntiColonial League, which, by a strange coincidence, was to be held a Brussels at the same time as the conference of the League Against Imperialism which they w-ere in reality to attend at Cologne.
