DESTRUCTIVE FIRE.
OUTBREAK AT WAIHI. TWO PREMISES DESTROYED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WAIHI, Thursday. Two adjoining premises in the main street, ’occupied by the Waihi Mutual Co-operative Trading Association, ■ a general grocery’ store, and boot shop, were destroyed by fire .at an early hour this morning. The splendid work of the fire brigade saved the spread of the conflagration to adjoining premises. The grocery stock was Insured for £ISOO in the Yorkshire Office, and the boot stock for £9OO in the same office. The buildings, valued at £IBOO, and owned by W. J. Brown, were insured in the London, Liverpool and Globe Office for £7OO.
