UNDEVELOPED LANDS.
BRINGING THEM INTO USE. AN IMPORTANT CONFERENCE. WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Hon. G. \V. Forbes, Minister of Lands, announces that a conference of Commissioners of Crown Lands and members of the Land Purchase Board will be held on January 23 to discuss with him the most effective means of settling available lands in the hands of the Crown,f also the question of abandoned farms and the development of pumice lands and undeveloped lands.
Mr Forbes intends during the next few months to make a personal Inspection of undeveloped lands.
